Marine Electrically Heated Calorifier | Independent Hot Water Supply

An independent hot water solution for your vessel. Our electric calorifier uses heating elements to warm water, making it ideal for in-port use or on ships without a constant steam supply. You can specify the required heating power (KW).

Accreditation and Certificates:

Overview
Our electrically heated calorifier operates independently from the ship’s main steam systems. You only need an electrical power supply for it to function. High-efficiency, explosion-proof electric heating tubes are submerged inside the tank. A temperature controller cycles the heating elements on and off to keep water within the 60-80°C set range. You get a simple, reliable source of hot water, especially when main boilers are shut down.

Key Features:

  • Independent Electric Heating: Operates solely on electrical power, independent of the main boiler’s status. Ideal for in-port use.
  • Customizable Heating Power: We select the electric heating power (KW) based on tank volume and your required heating time.
  • Automated & Safe Operation: An automated control system manages temperature. Your crew is protected by a pressure relief valve,
low-level protection, and explosion-proof heating elements.
  • Simple Installation: Requires only water pipe connections and an electrical supply, simplifying the installation process.

Applications:

  • In-Port Hot Water Supply: Provides reliable hot water when the ship’s main boilers are offline.
  • Primary Heater for Smaller Vessels: Acts as the main hot water source for tugs, workboats, or yachts without large steam plants.
  • Backup Systems: Serves as a secondary or emergency hot water source on larger vessels.

Installation & Maintenance:

Installation: Secure the unit’s base. Connect the cold water inlet and hot water outlet pipes. Connect the main power supply to the electrical control box per the wiring diagram.
Maintenance: Periodically inspect the electric heating elements and their connections. Clean internal scale via the manhole to maintain heating efficiency.
