Marine Pressure Type Thermometer (WTZ/Q) I Remote Reading

A remote-reading thermometer for measuring temperature in hard-to-reach, hazardous, or high-vibration locations. It uses a sensor bulb, a capillary tube, and a dial gauge. You can measure a wide temperature range from -40°C to 500°C from a safe, convenient location.

Overview
Our WTZ/Q Pressure Type Thermometer solves the problem of remote measurement. Its working principle relies on the expansion of a sealed fluid. A sensor bulb is installed at the measurement point. A flexiblecapillary tube connects this bulb to a pressure dial gauge. The fluid inside this closed system expands or contracts with temperature, which changes the pressure. You read this pressure change on the dial, which is calibrated to show temperature. This allows you to safely monitor critical temperatures from a distance.

Key Features:

  • Remote Measurement Capability: The capillary tube allows the dial indicator to be mounted several meters away from the actual temperature measurement point.
  • Wide Temperature Range: Capable of measuring a broad range of temperatures, from -40°C up to 500°C.
  • Vapor or Gas Actuated Options: We offer WTZ (Vapor-actuated) and WTQ (Gas-actuated) types for different application requirements.
  • Durable Construction: The case is made from materials like stainless steel or phenolic resin to withstand the marine environment.

Applications:

  • Main Engine Exhaust Gas: Safely monitors high exhaust temperatures from a control panel or a less hazardous area.
  • Cargo Pump Rooms & Hazardous Areas: Allows temperature monitoring of equipment in locations where personnel access is restricted.
  • High-Vibration Machinery: You can mount the dial gauge on a stable structure, away from the heavy vibration of the measurement point.
  • Refrigeration Systems: Measures temperatures inside cold stores or freezers with the display mounted externally.

Installation & Maintenance:

Installation: Install the sensor bulb into the measurement point. Carefully route the capillary tube to the desired location for the dial gauge, avoiding sharp bends or kinks. Mount the dial gauge.
Maintenance: This unit requires no regular maintenance. You should protect the capillary tube from physical damage.

FAQ :

Q: What is the main advantage of this thermometer?

A: Its main advantage is remote reading. It allows you to read a temperature from a location that is safer, more convenient, or less subject to vibration than the actual measurement point.

Q: What is the difference between WTZ (Vapor) and WTQ (Gas) types?

A: Both provide remote reading. The actuating fluid is different. The choice depends on the specific temperature range and application requirements. Our team can help you select the correct type.
