Overview
Marine horizontal air receiver is a cylindrical pressure vessel designed for horizontal installation. This configuration is the solution for spaces with low vertical clearance, such as under decks or on specific machinery platforms. The unit is mounted on a heavy-duty support frame composed of two steel saddles. This frame is engineered with reinforcing beams and rubber buffer pads to resist lateral impact and vibration forces common in a marine environment. The body is made from Q345R steel with full penetration welds for durability.

Key Features:

  • Low-Profile Configuration: Designed specifically for areas where vertical space is restricted.
  • Vibration-Resistant Mount: The support frame with saddles, reinforcing beams, and buffer pads provides a stable base and resists lateral forces.
  • Installation-Ready Design: The support frame includes integrated lifting lugs, simplifying the handling and positioning process during installation.
  • Standard Volume Range: Available in capacities from 0.05m³ to 30m³.

Applications:

  • Primary Air Source for Main Engines: Reliably stores the high-pressure air needed for engine starting.
  • General Service Air:  Powers pneumatic systems, controls, and tools throughout the vessel.
  • Whistle & Safety Systems: Ensures immediate air availability for signaling and emergency equipment.
  • Emergency Power Start: A dependable reserve for starting backup generators.

Installation & Maintenance:

Installation: The receiver is mounted on two supplied steel saddles, which must be secured to a flat, solid foundation. Ensure proper alignment before connecting piping.
Maintenance: The horizontal layout provides excellent access to all top-mounted fittings. We recommend daily condensate draining and periodic safety valve function tests. The large surface area can also be easily inspected for external corrosion.
