Marine Magnetic Float Level Gauge (UHZ Series) | For Demanding Tanks & Remote Monitoring

Safely monitor levels in high-pressure, high-temperature, or corrosive tanks. A sealed chamber isolates the liquid from the indicator. A magnetic float provides a clear, bi-color reading. You can add optional alarms and a 4-20mA signal for your control room.

Overview
This gauge is designed for tanks where safety and reliability are the top priorities. A float with a magnet moves with the liquid level inside a sealed chamber. This magnet is coupled to an external indicator with colored flaps. You can see the level clearly without any risk of leaks, because the liquid never touches the indicator. This non-contact design makes it the right choice for hazardous media. It provides a visual reading at the tank and can also send level data to your ship’s automation system.

Key Features:

  • Sealed for Safety: The indicator is physically separated from the liquid, which eliminates the risk of leaks through a viewing glass.
  • Clear, Distant Readability: The high-contrast red-and-white indicator is easy to read, even from a distance.
  • Ready for Automation: You can add adjustable alarm switches and a 4-20mA signal transmitter for remote monitoring and control.
  • Built for Corrosive Environments: Stainless steel construction allows it to handle corrosive liquids, high pressures, and high temperatures.

Applications:

  • Fuel oil and lubricating oil storage tanks: Ideal for large or critical tanks requiring remote monitoring for automation.
  • Chemical cargo tanks on tankers: The non-contact design provides safe gauging for corrosive media.
  • High-pressure boiler feedwater systems: Its robust construction safely handles the high pressure and temperature of boiler systems.
  • LNG/LPG fuel tanks: Suitable for cryogenic applications, providing clear level indication for liquefied gas fuels.

Installation & Maintenance:

Installation: Install the gauge vertically on the side of the tank using its flanges. Make sure the chamber is plumb to allow the float to move freely.
Maintenance: This unit requires very little maintenance. For liquids with heavy sediment, you may need to clean the float chamber periodically.

Custom Options Available:

Need something specific?

We build units with different materials (SS316L, etc.), higher pressure or temperature ratings, and various connection types. We can place alarm switches at any specified level.

FAQ :

Q: How does it show the level without power?

A: The visual indicator is a mechanical system. The float moves with the liquid, and its magnet flips the colored flaps. Power is only needed for the optional alarms and signal output.

Q: What is the 4-20mA signal for?

A: It is a standard signal for control systems. It allows you to see the real-time tank level in your ship’s control room or on the bridge.
